Stage 1:
Healthy Organisation (Building the Rocket Ship)
To codify this journey, CDI has developed CDI Connect. These integrated practices lay the foundation to create a climate for focus, alignment, collaboration and empowerment to deliver a sustainable competitive advantage


All levels of leadership are equipped (through consulting, training and coaching) to successfully introduce these tools, practices, disciplines and beliefs into their organisation. Once this integrated system of management is installed, sustainable organisational success will follow. This foundation is then leveraged to facilitate focused and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational, systemic and strategic success.
Stage 2:
Focused Improvement (Launching into Space)
Focused Improvement is the process of applying structured problem-solving methods to systemic problems in order to make things easier, better, faster or cheaper. The process relies on aligning the correct method to the correct scenario.
We at CDI are not experts in solving all systemic problems, but we can work with internal or other external experts in order to integrate the projects and the resulting solutions with CDI Connect. This not only gives the focused improvement initiatives credibility and impact, but also ensures sustainability beyond the “project” phase.

Continuous Improvement (Reaching the Stars)
Continuous improvement is an ongoing effort to improve products, services or processes. These efforts can seek “incremental” improvement over time or “breakthrough” improvement all at once.
CDI Connect equips leaders with the necessary skills to successfully challenge, coach and support teams and individuals to reach new heights. Leaders become full-time CI agents, driving continuous improvement in people commitment, competence and confidence, resulting in the continuous improvement of processes and performance.
Team members actively engage in continuous improvement activities through structured problem solving, innovation and projects. These improvement tools are used to improve people capabilities and to drive continuous improvement in processes and performance.
